KNITWEAR

As a textiles designer, I hold a deep affinity for knit. All of my knitwear pieces are zero-waste, made from organic cotton yarn. I use a Brother domestic knit machine to produce all of my knit pieces.

MINI JUMPER

Each element of the jumper is inspired by different shapes and textures found at Black Rock, Salthill. From the yellow diving board, to the blue waves, to the rocks on the coastline - each of these different shapes and textures come together to inspire this mini-jumper. It is called 'Mini Jumper' as it is a design for a full scale jumper, which was then scaled down to a small model. The jumper was knit on a Brother domestic fine-gauge knitting machine.

Hello! My name is Sadbh O'Neill and I am a fashion and textiles for product and costume student at Technological University Shannon. I am always thinking of different ways I can create something incredible through the medium of fabric, thread and yarn. It is my goal to make interesting and innovative textiles for clothing and products using knit and embroidery, the likes of which have never been seen before. I have a keen interest in sustainability and create zero-waste knitwear pieces.
